My mom was telling a dad joke today: “What nationality is Santa Claus?”

After my incorrect guess of Christmas Islander, I decided to ask Google, who gave me an elaborate answer:

Santa Claus, based on the historical St. Nicholas, was a 4th-century Greek bishop from Myra (in modern-day Turkey), making him ethnically Greek and a subject of the Roman Empire.

The real answer? North Polish (not North Macedonian).

Happy holidays!
